Solving "Upload Failed" Message On Vine

If, like me, you're constantly getting an upload failed message when you're using Vine on your Android device, I believe I may have a solution for you.

How To Fix An Upload Failed Message On Vine

  1. Go to your phone settings
  2. Pick Accounts
  3. Go to Vine
  4. Remove all accounts listed under Vine
  5. Open up the Vine app
  6. Add your accounts back. 

This worked for me and I haven't gotten an upload failed message for about 48 hours. I don't know if you'll have to do this every time Vine updates, though.

    There was this really amazing moment caught in an underground parking garage with skateboards and live bands. Thought it was lost forever and was kicking myself for trusting Vine to capture it. Really appreciate you figuring this out and posting it for others.

    1. I don't know how many times I've e-mailed, tweeted or otherwise tried to get Vine's attention on this before finally solving it myself out of desperation. I guess Vine is a small operation and doesn't have the resources to respond to everything.

      I'm glad this worked for you. Spread the word. There's a lot of folks getting "upload failed" messages out there.

    "upload failed" is fixed (at least until the next upload?

    Clearing the Cache is also a good maintenance item to save on cache usage.

  4. Hi, Your idea sounds great, but I can't even see Vine in my iPad app settings. It is not there in settings, although the application still works. Before this, I had an issue where Vine refused to update for about three weeks. I haven't been using it for a while, too busy, but today I can't upload anything without failing.
