For the last week or so, I've been playing phone tag with a recruiter from Grantham University. When we finally connected, I decided to pay homage to the classic vaudevillian sketch about a man who flips out every time he's reminded of a confrontation he had at Niagara Falls. The bit was also made famous by both Abbot and Costello and The Three Stooges.
Anyway, the recruiter was being such a good sport and seemed to be so pleasant that I refrained from adding the rant about the rivers of blood that usually accompanies the skit. I kept her on the line for about 8 minutes.
Awesome! I work at Grantham, I'm going to have to spread this around to everyone!

ReplyDeleteI work at GU also and I think you have some work to do...I've talked to real students who are much crazier!! And less rehearsed :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it was a Vaudeville skit until after I read it. Parts were super funny!(Glad you left out the bloody rivers, though.) Shows that Grantham can handle anyone, right? Guess I'm biased, since I work there too. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you folks at Grantham are a great bunch. Thanks for being such great sports. If you had a PhD program, I'd enroll for sure.
